All you need to do is click the camera icon on your viewfinder. You can either flip your camera while on live video or when paused.

If you’re using the chat site on your phone, you’ll be glad to know that you can reverse your camera too.

This works both for Omegle on desktop and mobile.

This will show the other person the view from your back camera. Just remember that you will only be able to do this on the Opera browser.

Here’s what you do:

  • Tap on the camera icon on the screen
  • Select Back Camera
  • Tap Done to confirm

Why Is the Omegle Camera Flipped?

No one knows why Omegle does this. However, people are used to seeing a reversed image of themselves when they look in a mirror. So, it’s safe to say that Omegle took inspiration from this.

Is Omegle Dangerous?

Omegle can be risky to use. After all, you’re speaking to strangers on the internet. You should be especially careful if you are underage. However, most people use the chatting service to find new friends. So, many people on the platform are usually trustworthy.

Contact Omegle’s team with the username of anyone that sent inappropriate messages to you. You can get their account shut down.

Can Omegle Conversations Be Recorded?

The answer is yes and no.

Let me explain:

Omegle is a major chatting service. You can feel safe knowing they don’t have built-in features that allow users to record you.

However, there is no way they can stop users from using third-party devices to record others. Unless the person you are speaking gives this away accidentally, you won’t know that you are being recorded.

Yes, you can set up two webcams. If you like, you can combine your webcam with a video camera too.

To add the second camera, simply connect it to the USB port on your desktop.

Final Thoughts

It’s quite easy to flip your camera on Omegle. All you need to do is go to the Viewfinder and click the camera icon. This applies to both mobile and PC users. What’s also great is that if you’re using Opera on your phone, you can reverse the camera and open the back camera too.

There is no way to find out why the chat site flips your image. But our best guess is that it’s to make your image look like one reflected in a mirror. Some users like this feature, but quite a few are not.

How to Download SWF from URL?

download swf from url

Are you wondering how to download SWF from URL? The process differs depending on the browser you are using. It barely takes any time on Chrome and Firefox. However, it can take longer on Internet Explorer.

I’ve been downloading embedded videos via URL for a while now. Recently, I taught a friend how to do this. Below, I’ve described how you can do so in-depth as well.

1. Internet Explorer

As Internet Explorer takes the longest, let’s get it out of the way first.

Before we get started, keep in mind that you need access to your PC’s admin. Account for it to work.

Here’s what you do:

  • Open the Admin account on your computer
  • Launch internet explorer
  • Go to the video you want to download
  • Launch the Control Panel on your PC
  • Find and open Folder Options/File Explorer Options
  • Open the View tab
  • Click Show Hidden Files and Folders
  • Find and uncheck Hide Extensions for Known Filetypes, as well as Hide Protected Operating System Files
  • Follow this path afterwards: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache
  • Once you’ve followed the above path, you should end up at the cached SWF file
  • Copy the file to any directory you like

There’s an alternate way to get to the iNetCache folder, instead of following the file path mentioned above. It’s a bit shorter as well.

Here’s what you do:

  • Launch Internet Explorer
  • Go to Settings > Internet > Options > Browser History > Settings
  • Go to Website Data Settings and then click View files
  • You will see the iNetCache folder

Downloading SWF files from internet explorer hasn’t always been rather tedious. This was after the release of Windows 7. Hopefully, my step-by-step guide will make the process easier to understand.

2. Google Chrome

Using Google Chrome to download SWF files is quick.

All you do is:

  • Find and open the flash video on chrome
  • Let the video load
  • Right-click the web page
  • Select Inspect from the Context Menu
  • You will see developer tools on the right-hand corner (might also be on the bottom)
  • Locate the video file from the code (Press Ctrl + Shift + C to enable the selected option and then hover over the video to find the code)
  • Copy and paste the page URL back into the browser and then load the page
  • The video will get saved in your Downloads folder
  • Save the video anywhere you like once it has been downloaded

3. Mozilla Firefox

Downloading embedded videos from Mozilla Firefox is by far the best as it’s the easiest browser to use.

Here’s what you do:

  • Launch Firefox
  • Open the webpage with the SWF File embedded on it
  • Open the View Page info section by right-clicking the page
  • Click the Media tab
  • Go through the items on the page and find the File code
  • Click on the file and then save it (you can save it in any location)

4. Opera Browser

Downloading SWF files on the opera browser isn’t possible. However, the Opera team might change this soon.

How Do You Get Images From Flash Web Pages?

You might want to download flash images instead of embedded videos. Once again, the process differs depending on the browser you are using.

Here’s what you need to do on Internet Explorer:

  • Launch the browser
  • Open the web page with the image you want to download
  • Click Tools > Internet Options
  • Click the Settings button (next to the Browsing history button in the General tab)
  • Select View Files (in the Temporary Internet Files and History Settings menu)
  • Download the file
  • Right-click the. SWF file
  • Click Save As

Here’s what you need to do on Mozilla Firefox:

  • Open the browser
  • Open the webpage with the image that you want to download
  • Click on Tools > Page Info
  • You will see Media at the top of the menu. Tap it
  • Download the flash file
  • Find the file
  • Click Save As and choose a proper name

Is it safe to download SWF files?

This is a question that many people ask, for good reason. SWF files can contain malware, as Adobe Flash is vulnerable.

The safety of the site you’re trying to download from will influence how safe the embedded video or image would be. Make sure it’s a reputed domain, or you might end up with malware.

Final Thoughts

It’s not hard to download an embedded image or video on whatever browser you may be using. However, compared to how easy it is on Mozilla and Google Chrome, the process is a bit lengthy on Internet Explorer. Most people don’t use this browser, so this will not be an issue.

Rather than just downloading video files, you can download flash images as well. Compared to just downloading videos, it is much easier as well.

Chrome Crashes When Printing

chrome crashing when printing

If Chrome crashes when printing, your internet is likely patchy or you have too many tabs open. Rogue extensions and malware can also cause the problem.

I’ve faced the issue a couple of times. Thankfully, the solutions discussed below have helped each time.

Fix 1: Check Your Internet Connection

Your internet connection might be the culprit. It could be patchy, and get disconnected while Chrome tries to print your document. Try moving closer to your router.

If this doesn’t help, connect to another wireless network. You can also turn Mobile Hotspot on.

Here’s how to do this on Android 11:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet
  • Select Hotspot & Tethering
  • Toggle Wi-Fi Hotspot on
  • Customize the hotspot to your liking
  • Open the Notification Center and turn Mobile Data on

Here’s what you do on iOS 15:

  • Open Settings > Personal Hotspot
  • Toggle the iPhone feature and then customize it
  • Open the Control Center and turn Mobile Data on

Now all you need to do is connect to your hotspot and try printing again.

Fix 2: Close All the Other Tabs

Having too many tabs open can cause Chrome to run out of memory. Close all unnecessary tabs and check whether you can print.

A pro-tip would be to close any other programs that are running, as well as pause file downloads.

Fix 3: Check for Malware

Malware could be causing the issue.

Here’s how you check for malware on Windows computers:

  • Click Start Menu > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security
  • Select Virus & Threat Protection > Current Threats
  • Click Quick Scan
  • A pop-up will tell you if there’s any malware. Windows will ask to take action

Macs:

  • Go to Applications > Utilities
  • Open the Activity Monitor
  • Open the CPU tab
  • Look for any processes that look suspicious
  • If you suspect Malware, download a specialized tool like MacKeeper

Fix 4: Restart Google Chrome

Google Chrome might be glitching. Closing and reopening the browser should help.

Fix 5: Restart PC

If your computer is glitching instead of Chrome, restarting it will help.

All you need to do is:

  • Close all the applications that are running
  • Click Start > Power
  • Click Restart
  • Wait for your desktop to power off and then power on again

You can wait a couple of minutes after your computer restarts before you print.

Fix 6: Reset the Browser

If Chrome is glitching badly, simply restarting it might not help. Take things up a notch and reset it. The memory and cache would be wiped clear. So, any stubborn bug would be erased.

Here’s what you need to do:

  • Launch Chrome
  • Click the three-dot button on the side
  • Click Settings
  • Select Advanced (in the pop-up window)
  • Scroll down and tap on Reset and Clean Up
  • Click Reset Settings to the Original Defaults
  • Click Reset Settings again to confirm

Close and then reopen Chrome for best results. You will no longer face any crashing.

Fix 7: Uninstall Extensions

Before I move on to my last solution, I recommend disabling all your extensions. One of them may have gone rogue. It will take a while to figure out which extension is running amok. An easy workaround would be to disable all of them and then try printing.

Here’s what you do:

  • Open Chrome
  • Locate the three-dot menu on the side
  • Click Settings
  • Choose More Tools > Extensions
  • Toggle each of your extensions off

Hopefully, you won’t face any trouble now.

If you want to find out which extension has gone rogue, disable all your extensions and re-enable them one by one while trying to print.

Fix 8: Uninstall and then Reinstall Chrome

You will have to uninstall and then reinstall Chrome if you’re still having trouble.

You won’t lose any data if you sign into the Google account that you had logged in, and turn Sync on.

Here’s how you uninstall the browser:

  • Close Chrome
  • Go to your computer’s Start Menu > Control Panel
  • Click Add or Remove Programs
  • Find and select Chrome
  • Click Remove
  • Click Uninstall

Here’s how you reinstall the program:

  • Visit the official Google Chrome website on any browser
  • Click Download

What did you think about the solutions discussed? Most of the time, the problem crops up due to your internet being patchy or you having too many tabs open. These problems are easy to fix. However, it can also be due to something more serious like an extension going rogue or malware being present. The issue could be a blessing in disguise as you can find and get rid of malware before it causes any further trouble.

If you followed my guide but are still having issues, contact Google support. There may be a bug on the browser and they will fix it for you.
